This set was the first set I made to be our own personal working knives. These blades were hand forged in Japan from Blue #2 steel. I cut and shaped the handles from the same hickory axe handle, each of our handles were meticulously shaped for a perfect fit, allowing comfort for a long day of slicing and chopping. After years of use, the handle looks like it did on day one, and the blade, even more beautiful. Blue #2 steel is extremely hard and sharp, and will develop a patina over the years. I am more excited to grab this knife for every use!
